Job Prospects for Delaware Marketing Graduates
Things may be tight. Delaware’s Department of Labor (DOL) predicts that demand for market research analysts and PR specialists from 2008-2018 will grow, but not nearly as fast as the national average. Growth for marketing managers is looking flat; advertising and promotions managers are expected to see a 13% drop in job openings.
If you do find a job in management, you’ll be outpacing your national peers. The median annual income for Delaware marketing managers in 2011 was $140,900, significantly higher than the U.S. median of $116,000, according to numbers from the US Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics (www.bls.gov).

The University of Delaware’s Lerner College offers a number of flexible programs for earning your MBA. The 4+1 program allows you to earn your bachelor’s and master’s degree together in five years. The standard MBA can be pursued on campus full time or part time, with concentrations in entrepreneurship, healthcare, information technology, international business, marketing or museum leadership and management, as well as a number of flexible specializations that allow students to tailor their education to their professional goals. Or, earn two master’s at once with a comprehensive dual degree program that combines a master’s degree in economics, accounting, engineering, finance, information systems or organizational effectiveness with an MBA.
